 VOLLEYBALL (10/4): Last night's action began with the JV volleyball team beating Northwest in 2 sets: 25-12, 20-13. The varsity team won in 4 sets: 25-12, 20-25, 25-19, & 25-23. Top servers were Laken Smith & Jamiee Stewart with 12 puts and 3 aces each. Laken Smith made 12 kills, Jessie Silcott 11, followed by Kami Knight with 6. Taylor Ford assisted 24 kills and Emma Pfeifer made 5 assists. Top defensive players were Laken Smith & Taylor Ford. The teams will play away Thursday but return home Tuesday to face Wheelersburg.
 
ON THE VOLLEYBALL COURT (9/6): The Tigers were defeated last night in 3 sets by South Webster in 3 sets 25-19, 25-16, 25-23. Laken Smith was top server with 6 points and 1 ace. Hailey Silcott and Kyla Havens each served 5 points. Jamiee Stewart made 5 kills followed by Jesse Silcott with 3. Kyla Havens had 5 assists, Taylor Ford 4 and Hailey Silcott 3. Top kill diggers were Kyla Havens making 10 digs followed by Jessie Silcott with 8. Laken Smith and MaKayla Howard were top serve receivers. The Tigers are 1-2 in the SOC.
 
ACTION ON THE VOLLEYBALL COURT: beating Oak Hill in 3 sets 25-14, 25-11, and 25-21! Laken Smith was top server with 16 points and had 12 kills. Jessie Silcott made 7 kills and Kami Knight had 5. Taylor Ford assisted 15 kills while Kyla Havens had 9 assists. Top kill diggers were Stefanie Stewart making 10 digs followed by Laken Smith with 8. The Tigers are 1-1 in the SOC. 

Waverly vs. Piketon Football Action: Drew Kritzwiser had a 85 yd kickoff return for TD, Drew Harris had 11 carries-87 yds and 2 touchdowns, Clayton Howell 19 of 11 for 197 yds with 3 touchdowns, Cade Marquez 6 catches, 105 yds, and 1 touchdown, and Easton Wolf with 2 catches, 32 yes, and 1 touchdown.

Cross Country: Hannah Goodman placed 1st in our first ever HOME meet for the girls and Hunter Hoover placed 1st for the boys'.

Cheerleaders: Great job by the Waverly Cheerleaders for the "Glow in the Dark" pep rally! Go Tigers!

Waverly Wins the High School Team Challenge
For the second year in a row, Waverly High School was awarded a $10,000 grant by winning the McDonald's High School Team Challenge! The money will help offset transportation expenses for sports and activities. Thank you to all that voted! We did it again!
