Meet the New Waverly Intermediate Principal, Joel Shepherd
Principal Joel Shepherd is moving across the street to Waverly Intermediate from the high school.
This is Shepherd’s 16th year in education and his fifth year in administration at Waverly. The job of intermediate principal is a bit like returning home, his first job at Waverly was as a fifth grade teacher.
“I’m very excited to work with the intermediate staff and students and continue the growth plan they are already working on,” said Shepherd.
Shepherd and his wife Billie are the parents of two Waverly students and in his free time he enjoys attending their children’s activities, working outside, and Ohio State basketball.
“I love being at Waverly due to the vast opportunities we provide our kids in both education and extra-curricular activities,” said Shepherd. “Our students pursue their interests in education, arts, sports, and are truly supported by the staff and community in whatever path they choose.”
