A Message from Mr. Montgomery:

As a proud 1992 WHS graduate, I am both honored and excited to step into the role of Principal at Waverly High School for the 2026–2027 school year. Having spent 25 years serving Waverly City Schools across various roles, from the classroom to administration, I remain deeply appreciative of this community and fully invested in the vital role our schools play within it.

Having experienced Waverly City Schools as a student, educator, and administrator, I hold profound respect for the rich traditions and pride that unite our school district and community.

As Principal, my commitment is to ensure every student feels supported, challenged, and prepared for life after graduation, whether that path leads to college, a career, technical training, the military, or another rewarding future. Together, we will empower our students to achieve their full potential and create meaningful opportunities for success. I look forward to working side by side with our families, staff, and community stakeholders to build on our strong foundation and write an exciting new chapter in our school's proud history.

Go Tigers!
