The Waverly Alumni Association recently celebrated several special members of the Tiger community, including the Class of 1976 as they mark 50 years since graduation.
Members of the Class of 1976 gathered for the occasion, reconnecting through the friendships and memories they have shared over the past five decades.
Those pictured included David Deacon, Gordon Alderman, Boo Alderman, Fredia Hopkins, Molly Markham, Emily Buckalew, Brenda Speraw, Mark Thomas, Tammy Acord, Sandy Beabout, Robert Sears, Val Sampson, Mark Hamilton, Rick Conkle, Joan Long, Janice Parker, Jackie Gildow, Elaine Beekman, Charlotte Horne, Jill Deacon, Mike Federici, Paul D. Hartley, Deb Holden, Minta Conley, Lynn Ballard, Sylvia Corn, and Kelly Murphy.
Also in attendance were Rick Conkel, Andy Pettit, Danny Rowland, and Tim Dailey.
The Alumni Association also recognized Jodi Markham Harmon for more than 50 years of service to the Alumni Board and the Waverly community. In recognition of her many years of dedication and commitment, Harmon was named the first recipient of the Waverly Alumni Association Legacy Award.
In addition, Jason Brown, Class of 1987, was honored as the Waverly Alumni Association Alumni of the Year.
