Tiny Tigers Science Day

The second annual Tiny Tigers Science day was held at Waverly Primary building. 50 juniors and seniors worked with kindergarten students spending the morning conducting science experiments - making ice cream in a bag and creating slime. The Tiny Tigers Science enrichment program aims to increase interaction between high school and primary students while incorporating STEM activities. The junior and senior students involved design and implement the enrichment activities for the primary students providing the high school students the opportunity to mentor and engage younger students in the sciences. This year’s Tiny Tigers Science expanded on that opportunity allowing the high school students to work with the entire kindergarten class.
