Mr. and Mrs. Smith’s Advanced Art students recently had the exciting opportunity to visit Queen City Clay, where they were able to get their hands dirty and create works of art from clay using potters wheels. The ceramics instructor at Queen City is a professional potter who provides students with a unique opportunity to learn from a skilled artist in the field. Not only did students get to create their own ceramic projects, but they also had the chance to interact with the instructor and other professional potters. This allowed them to learn from experienced artists who have developed their craft over the years.
By working alongside professionals, students were able to gain valuable insights into the techniques and processes used to create high-quality ceramics. They were able to ask questions, receive feedback, and learn from real-world examples. This hands-on experience was not only fun, but an excellent way for students to develop their own skills and improve their craft.Students were also able to take their finished products home.
In addition to the practical benefits of working with professional potters, students also benefited from the opportunity to network and build relationships within the industry, leading to future job opportunities or collaborations with other artists. Overall, the ceramics instructor's approach provided students with a valuable and unique learning experience that will set them up for success in their future endeavors.
