We want to convey our heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering support of Waverly City Schools students. The Northern Lights illuminated Waverly City Schools last night, as captured in this stunning image by Megan Smith, the art teacher at Waverly High School. Channel 10 WBNS TV News stated in an article yesterday, “A series of strong solar flares led to bursts of solar energy known as coronal mass ejections (CME). That energy is traveling fast through space and is expected to arrive at Earth over the next couple of days. When this energy hits Earth, it causes disruptions in the magnetic field and causes the aurora borealis.” What a fantastic site to see in Pike County, Ohio!

There will be a financial aid meeting for seniors and their parents on Thursday, November 13th, at 6:00 pm in the HS cafeteria. The meeting will highlight applying for financial aid by completing the FASFA form. A FASFA representative will provide pointers for filing the form and will be available to answer specific questions that you may have.

We warmly invite you to join us in the Waverly High School Auditorium on Monday, November 10th, from 9:00 - 10:00AM. This special ceremony is dedicated to honoring all Veterans in our community, and we would be delighted to have you with us.

Waverly High School students convened for their monthly grade-level meeting. The topic of discussion was future planning, where students explored community and regional programs aimed at post-secondary career development. Additionally, updates were shared about initiatives at Waverly High School designed to help students discover the opportunities available to them.

Snap-On has generously contributed more than 60 jackets in various sizes to all four local school districts: WAVERLY, Western, Piketon, and Eastern. Their support helps ensure that students have access to warm clothing during the winter. Waverly City Schools extend our heartfelt gratitude to Snap-On for this wonderful donation to our students.
